The VFD substation has been designed, manufactured and shipped to North Nigeria. The total area of the substation is 135,20 m2. This substation consists of 3 segments, which are transported separately to the final location of the Assa North project in Nigeria. Architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical designs and installations are included and completed due to customer technical specifications and have been completed in 76 days.
The modules in this Assa North project are equipped with; medium voltage switchgear, 400VAC power distribution systems, large backup battery storage system, including its distribution system, substation’s control and monitoring systems (SMCS).
Since the switchboards will be installed on-site, large covers have been designed on the ceilings of the modules and special insulation solutions have been applied. A removable secondary roof was added to reduce the effects of intense sunlight, spanning the top of the structures.
